The New Colombo Plan (NCP) scholarship program is an opportunity for Australian undergraduate students to undertake study, internships and language training overseas in the Indo-Pacific region. An initiative of the Australian Government and Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), the NCP scholarship program offers recipients up to AUD $67,000 for an overseas semester or year length study experience.
In December 2013 the Australian Government announced that it will fund $100 million over five years for the New Colombo Plan scholarship program and a student international mobility grants scheme. Since then NCP is proving to be a great success, and around 100 scholarships are to be awarded in the 2017 round.
Scot Gigante is a figure head of this program in the 2015 round, we were asked to make a short reel to promote the program.
